The team at Ecozenic were pleased to complete a seven-day project upgrading a homeowner's conservatory in Waterlooville, Hampshire, with a tiled conservatory roof and new doors and windows.
The Brief
The customer was looking for a space that could be used all year round, but the current structure wasn’t energy-efficient, meaning it was often too cold to use in the winter and too hot in the summer. They were looking for an improved roof system to insulate the room.
What We Did
We installed a new tiled conservatory roof that offers increased thermal insulation thanks to the 185mm of moisture-resistant insulation.
The installation team faced challenges with the structure of the original conservatory frame, so before installing the new roof, we had to reinforce it to meet modern standards.
Fitting new doors and windows was another part of this solution, as the structure followed a traditional conservatory build; most of the structure was windows and doors.
The replacement doors and windows were A+ rated uPVC in a stunning Rosewood foil to complement the rest of their home and surrounding area.
The homeowner didn’t want to lose all the natural light that entered their conservatory. Therefore, we designed a roof that included two skylights that were strategically positioned to ensure sunlight would flood the room. Energy efficiency was still key to this part of the tiled roof, so the glass is also part of the outstanding thermal barrier structure.
The project ended up being a complete renovation to ensure the structure met today's building regulations and that the space was thermally efficient for year-round usage. Our team went above and beyond, working seamlessly with plastering teams, electricians, and decorators to complete the interior decoration with a fresh white finish.
The Result
Through meticulous attention to detail and constant communication, we exceeded expectations, delivering superior energy efficiency and a beautifully upgraded conservatory that can be used all year round.
Due to the design options of our tiled roof and the selection of uPVC doors and windows, the transformation was in line with the overall aesthetics and style of the existing house and their garden, meaning that the upgraded space still seamlessly blends in.
The Ecozenic team were proud to be part of the project and help another homeowner improve their conservatory, not only providing a space that can be used more but also helping to reduce energy bills.
